ABSTRACT
The article reports on the disputes between two direct-broadcast satellite operators, DirecTV Inc. and Dish Network Corp. concerning the misleading ads. According to Jimmy Schaeffler, chairman of consulting firm Carmel Group, their battle has become more and more a war of differentiation , wherein the two operators need to fight harder to content against cable and telco play bundles. An overview of the misleading advertisements presented by both operators are offered.
