The article provides information on the insurer spending in 2009 for online display advertising which exceeded the advertisement spending in other industries. It notes that online display advertising reinforces branding efforts and direct consumers to a specific insurer's Web site for the insurance purchase process. It adds that insurers continue to connect with the buying public through blogs, streaming videos, and online social networks.
