ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the biology of Armillaria, also known as the oak-root fungus and honey mushroom, and its diagnostic features. The Armillaria is consisted of approximately 40 species with various degrees of pathogenicity. The occurrence of Armillaria diseases on wooded sites is discussed. Guidelines for managing Armillaria are offered.
