Tiger Gate Takes Saban as Partner

This article reports that California-based entertainment firm Lionsgate has partnered with Saban Capital Group to establish an equal partnership called Tiger Gate that will operate pay television (TV) channels across Asia. There is a plan by Tiger Gate to expand its offerings and branch out into other territories it had previously not accessed such as China, India, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and the Middle East. Particular focus is given to Lionsgate's conflict with activist investor Carl Icahn.
