ABSTRACT
The article focuses on oak collections that can be found at Karlsaue and Wilhemshöhe parks in Kassel, Germany. The oak cultivar introduced by Wilhelm Hentze, garden director from 1822-1864, can still be seen at Karlsaue. The special oak collection in Karlsaue include old cultivars such as Quercus robur and Quercus petraea. The most interesting oak that can be found at Wilhemshöhe is Quercus robur 'Fastigiata' that came from the Beauty Oak of Harreshausen.
