Academic Journal
The article discusses how the International Oak Society was founded by Steven Roesch. It points to his search for rare species such as the Quercus which led him to enlist with the arboricultural journal in England where he had a productive seed exchange with Ms. Susan Cooper. The society was informally formed and with the journal publication by Mr. Nigel Wright more participants came in. The group was incorporated after the second conference and triennial conferences followed which became the assemblages of oak enthusiasts worldwide.
