ABSTRACT
The article discusses the examination conducted by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the ten unmanned aircraft acquisition programs of the Department of Defense (DOD) in the U.S. It states that the GAO examined the performance, schedule and the progress of the programs of the DOD as of July 2009. GAO also studied the point to which the military services worked together and identified commonality among the programs.
