Andy Pallotta, executive vice president of the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), explains the significant role of SLS which served as a lifeline of school libraries in providing shared educational materials, training and technology. However, it notes the worry of the school administrators for the possibility of cutting the state funding for the program.
