The article discusses the importance of accountability in leaders. According to the author, leaders must encourage communication and honesty, as well as be able to handle the truth even when it is critical of themselves. He mentions two types of accountability which include vertical and horizontal. He cites that the first is determined by reward or punishment in a corporate structure, and the second comes from one's peers and subordinates.
