ABSTRACT
The article examines the quality of the Autograph brand announced by Marriott Corp. that represents a program that allows independent hotels that meet certain criteria to benefit from the Marriott family without carrying the Marriott name. Corporate guests who are restricted to Marriott hotels can stay at a hotel being a part of the Autograph brand. The lack of new construction on Marriott hotels and the preponderance of independent hotels make the Autograph brand essential.
