ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the study conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office regarding the condition of the global hunger in 2010. Accordingly, global hunger continues to worsen despite the 1996 pledge-reaffirmed of world leaders in 2000 and 2009 to halve hunger by 2015. To address the issue, the 2009 major donor countries pledged 22 billion dollars in a three-year commitment to agriculture and food security in developing countries, of which 3.5 billion dollars is the U.S. share.
