ABSTRACT
The article reports that hospitals are collaborating with zoos to provide children with live video of zoo and aquarium animals. Sanford Children's Hospital is partnering with Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to offer children an opportunity to see tigers, monkeys and giraffes without leaving their hospital rooms. Zoo programs provide children with distractions from unpleasant procedures.
