The article presents a study conducted by the Accountability Office (GAO) aiming to determine the extent to which the U.S. Census Bureau (Bureau) has strengthened its ways in counting group quarters compared to the Census in 2000. It explores the challenges and opportunities for an accurate group quarters count in Brooklyn, New York City. It presents the previous recommendation from GAO emphasizing the importance of revisiting its group quarter procedures for an accurate counting.
