ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the history of the Santa Fe Plaza in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It says that the establishment of the plaza began when Pedro Peralta was mandated by a viceroy on March 30, 1609 to look for a villa in the Province of La Nueva Mexico. It adds that Peralta and the settlers who assisted him have formed and dried adobes before the construction of the permanent buildings in the villa could begin.
