Social media benefit communication picks up speed

The article discusses the use of social media in communicating corporate changes to employees. Adam Wooton of Towers Watson thinks that new media like You Tube-style videos, blogs, podcasts, and Wikipedia are effective in fostering a deeper connection between rank and file workers and senior officers. Best Buy was able to increase enrollment in their 401 (k) plan by staging a video contest among employees. The results of a survey from Towers Watson concerning the use of social media are presented.
