ABSTRACT
The article provides an overview on the methods used to examine the market performance of the tourism sector in Brazil. It indicates that the data was obtained through the use of the best-practice techniques of time-series modelling. It also notes that the use of vector autoagressions allows researchers to forecast a variable using more than the variable's own history as explanatory information.
