ABSTRACT
The article presents news briefs on library-related events in 2009. In September was the 14th International Numismatics Congress held in Glasgow, Scotland. A Frankfurt, Germany, Round Table of Management Commissions convened to discuss "Personnel Development -- Concepts -- Limits -- Possibilities." An October conference at the College of Potsdam, Potsdam, Germany, focused its discussion on a strategic alliance between libraries in Berlin and Brandenburg, Germany.
