The article presents the author's advice for travel agents and principals. She states that one could be acting as an agent when--one is disclosing the identity of the supplier of the arrangements, or is taking a commission or service charge from the supplier. According to her, one could be acting as a principal when--one is guaranteeing payment to the supplier even though the customer may not pay, or is issuing one's own confirmation invoice.
