ABSTRACT
This article reports that BBVA Compass, a unit of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA of Madrid, Spain, is preparing to promote its consumer products since taking over the Texas-based Guaranty Bank. Before the failed Guaranty Bank was taken over, there was no mortgage lending or credit card sales and the bank staff is eager to begin marketing more retail products.
