ABSTRACT
The article discusses the traditions about food among Hindus which emphasizes the vegetarian meal in India. It describes the three methods of eating which include the use of forks, fingers and chopsticks. It presents a photograph of the South Indian spread which comprises a variety of dishes including fried okra, fried spiced cabbage and mango pickle.
