ABSTRACT
The article presents information about Malaysian tycoon Ananda Krishnan, owner of a multinational empire that has boosted his fortune to more than 7 billion dollars. Krishnan is the second-richest person in Southeast Asia. He was born in a middle class family and earned his undergraduate degree at Melbourne University, Victoria, with the help of a scholarship. He is also a well-known philanthropist who helped in raising 240 million dollars for African famine relief.
