ABSTRACT
The article presents information about plant biologist Pamela Ronald and his husband Raoul Adamchak, who advocate the marriage of genetically modified foods and organic farming. Ronald developed a variety of rice that could resist the floods that annually destroy 4 million tons of crops in India and Bangladesh. It was released to farmers in 2009. The couple is now trying to develop crops that limit the use of pesticides and fertilizers also produces more food per acre planted.
