ABSTRACT
The article discusses the Statement Exposure Draft (ED) issued by the U.S. Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) on the codification of the procurements of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It is noted that ED will be incorporated into GASB's accounting and financial reporting guidance once adopted. It further states that ED is designed to lessen the burden on preparers and auditors of financial statements.
