ABSTRACT
The article presents a discussion on the decision of certiorari handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court to determine the constitutionality of an Indiana law regarding voter-identification. The Indiana law requires voters to exhibit proof of identification and is alleged to burden the right to vote since it discriminates and affects disadvantaged voters. It was held that the voter-identification law was not a burden on Indiana voters because it prevented election fraud, modernized election methods and protected voter confidence.
