This article focuses on the plan of Nomura Holdings to create a group risk management planning department and a government affairs and risk advisory group in a bid to streamline its global business platform and improve its risk management efforts. Shigesuki Kashiwagi, Nomura's chief executive officer (CEO) for the Americas, will oversee the risk advisory group. Nomura spokesman Peter Truell notes that their objectives were to demonstrate that the firm is proactively positioned for its next stage of growth.
