ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's proposal to reconstruct leaders as social architect in community building. The author proposes this "relational leadership" whose task is to structure the place and experience of these gatherings to move the culture to shared ownership. He also argues that the task of leadership is to provide context and produce engagement by doing the tasks of creating a context that nurtures an alternative future, initiating and convening conversations that shift people's experience, and listening and paying attention.
