ABSTRACT
The article focuses on how companies can outperform their rivals. The author says that businesses should have to come up with something different to offer to their customers. Professor Michael Porter from Harvard University emphasizes that being different from other companies promotes strategic clarity. Appropriating ideas from other firms is also considered helpful as it is a time-honoured way of coming up with a winning formula to be successful.
