Freudenberg-NOK develops energy-saving automotive seal

The article reports on the development of Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership's newly launched Energy Saving Seal that claims to save energy and reduce friction. Freudenberg-NOK officials said the technology offers several advantages including increasing engine efficiency, reducing power consumption and improving fuel economy; significantly reducing friction between the seal lip and shaft, lowering seal lip temperature, and virtually eliminating seal failure caused by oil breakdown.
