ABSTRACT
This article presents information on several book on international relations. The Handbook of Political Science: International Politics, Volume 8, edited by Fred I. Greenstein and Nelson W. Polsby. This set of essays, like those in its seven companion volumes, assesses the status of contemporary scholarship in political science. In the book Causal Explanation and Model Building in History, Economics and the New Economic History, by Peter D. McClelland, the author concludes that while generalizations are necessary for our understanding of social phenomena, they are accompanied by a high degree of uncertainty in their application. The book Game Theory and Politics, by Steven J. Brams, is a good introduction to game theory and its application to political behavior. In the book Morality of Consent, by Alexander M. Bickel, the author argues that liberal absolutism led inevitably to the corruption of Watergate. The book The Public Order of Ocean Resources: A Critique of the Contemporary Law of the Sea, by P. Sreenivasa Rao, is a useful analysis of the status of the law of the sea.
