ABSTRACT
The article presents a case of a 36-year-old woman with a three-week history of persistent itching of the eyelids for her right eye. Examination shows a few lice and nits at the roots of the woman's eyelashes. The specimen proved microscopically to be Phthirus pubis. It notes that the lice were removed from the eyelashes with fine forceps and petrolatum applied twice daily. The article discusses the P. pubis which can infest any hair-bearing area and its therapy to eliminate the lice and eggs.
