Hemoptysis caused by erosion of thoracic aortic aneurysm

The article presents a case of a 68-year-old woman with a five-month history of dry cough and intermittent fever. She had intermittent retrosternal chest pain radiating to her back and had coughed about 5 mL of blood on two occasions. It states that the patient looks well and her blood pressure was equal bilaterally on examination and had a type 2 diabetes. It notes that a computed tomography scan of chest shows a thoracic aortic aneurysm and hemoptysis has been reported.
