ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the life and contributions of several mathematicians of China in the field of analytic number theory. It offers information on the achievements of mathematician Loo-Keng Hua who is a symbol for mathematics in China. It discusses the contributions of mathematician Jingrun Chen to Goldbach's conjecture, Waring's problem and other topics of number theory. It states that Chengdong Pan, who studied analytic number theory, was elected to the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
