The article focuses on diesel engine, which will be classified as Tier 3 emissions requiring unreasonable standards. John Lillie, the president of the Consulting Marine Engineers and Ship Surveyors Group, stressed the drive for lower capital cost. According to the author, wind propulsion is the better alternative to diesel engines. The author also mentions his preference for engines from Yanmar, which designs marine engines, not marinised truck engines.
