ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the talk given by Wayne Wiggins III on the use of poultry litter as farmland fertilizer during the 2010 Conservation Systems Cotton and Rice Conference. It mentions that litter enhances the soil, increases the tillering of rice and increases farm yield. It says that using chicken litter needs proper planning particularly in terms of loading, storing and spreading. It notes that litter be stored at least a quarter of mile away from the nearest neighbor.
