ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the study on patients with artery stenosis who were examined through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) vasoreactivity testing. The author suggests that the findings of the study is an evidence of chronic ischaemia and that chronic exposure of humans to regional hypoperfusion may lead to a pathological change. The author mentions that the authors of the study speculate the potential correlation of longer hypoperfusion duration with greater loss of the cortical thickness.
