The article reports that ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) application performance is highly influenced by the polymer molecular structure and processing conditions. The current global demand for EPDM exceeds 2.7 billion pounds. It is reported that EPDM converters are demanding easier mixing elastomers with improved formulation flexibility, better extrusion processability, and better cure efficiency.
