ABSTRACT
The article reports on the health standards for ground level ozone or smog issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the U.S. EPA announced on January 6, 2010 that the primary standard is set at a level between 0.060 and 0.070 parts per million (ppm). Aside from the proposed smog standards, EPA also planned a separate secondary standard for environmental protection.
