ABSTRACT
The article explores the revival of corporate venture capital (VC) activities in the U.S. It relates that corporations now have more clearly defined goals when it comes to their venture portfolio. It outlines the goal behind the 2007 investment of Microsoft in Facebook and the launching of the VC fund of Best Buy in 2008. Some of the companies which received VC funding from Intel include CNET, Broadcom, WebMD and Research in Motion.
