ABSTRACT
The article discusses positive results for an abstinence-only sex education program. It notes that unlike previous abstinence programs, the program is not moralistic and does not define abstinence as chastity until marriage. It sends the message that the longer a teen waits until engaging in sex, the better, and waiting until marriage is best. Results showed one third of participants in sixth and seventh grades had sex within two years of the program, compared with half for the control group.
