ABSTRACT
The article discusses the importance of power sources in the accessibility and range of wireless communication systems. It cites that the developments in fuel cells and renewable energy could help in providing power even in very remote sites. The Pennsylvania statewide radio system's Jim Parcels said that several factors have hindered the construction of power infrastructure, such as the option of whether to run it overhead or underground. The use of alternative power sources, such as solar and wind power could solve the problem.
