Ağrı Eleşkirt (Güneykaya) Ski Center is one of the winter tourism centers of Turkey, which was established by Ağrı Governorship in 2000, within Eastern Anatolia Region Winter Tourism Development Projects of Tourism Ministry after the date of 1990s. Suitable location case for transportation, useful snow structures for ski sports, long winter season and rareness of fog and snowslide events (geographical condition) give this center an important tourism potential. Tourism season starts in the middle of november and continues until the end of march. This study aims to research of Eleşkirt (Güneykaya) Ski Center with geographical approach. Tourism potential and current position of this center pointed out and its importance for local sustainable development underlined with this research. In addition suggestion and planning advised to again establishment, development and sustainability of Eleşkirt (Güneykaya) Ski Centre.
