The article reports on the application of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) on identifying acute myocardial infarction (AMI). It states that Cine imaging evaluates the evaluate ischaemia and valvular heart diseases. Moreover, the standard cine pulse sequence is a steady state free precession (SSFP) sequence that provides optimal contrast between blood and myocardium and utilizes ECG gating.
