ABSTRACT
The article discusses ways to cut costs and to improve long-term operational efficiency of insurance firms in the U.S. He believes that majority of cost reduction schemes failed due to lack of skills to execute it, the underestimation of the cost and time in implementing the scheme, and the poor benefit tracking of these efforts. The six critical component of effective cost reduction initiatives are also featured.
