The article offers information on the function of the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). It states that the AFSOC continues to extend the capabilities of the military to offer the combatant commander with the complete spectrum of specialized airpower. AFSOC is engaged in operations to support engagement strategies intended at constructing relationships that will protect future dispute within a region.
