ABSTRACT
The article reports on the use of the 30-million-pound fund to be able to help Teesside refrain from the traditional heavy manufacturing to become a low-carbon production base in England. The plan to go green began upon the closure of the Corus steel plant in Redcar. The government's environmental plan constitutes the establishment of a new bio-based materials operation and reduction strategy on energy usage in the region.
