Complexities of Art in Cuba

The article offers author's opinion on the present complexity of art in Cuba. The author is stated to be attracted to the allure of taboo, and fascinated by the exotics of otherness of Cuba. He mentions that artists, curators, and art critics in Cuba respond to the current political oppression in the form of visual images. A consensus list of the most outstanding artists presently operating in Cuba are presented including Tania Bruguera, Carlos Garaicoa, and Rene Pena.
