ABSTRACT
The article details how Michael Atanasio, manager of food and nutrition services at Overlook Hospial in Summit, New Jersey, has made major changes to the hospital's food service. Atanasio rebranded the cafeteria the Summit Restaurant, opened a convenience store, and has increased the retail revenue by more than 18 percent. He has started a marketing push by developing a welcome packet for new doctors and has been working to revamp the patient menus as well as hosting cooking classes outside the hospital which has increased the department's visibility.
