ABSTRACT
The article reports that Chicago-based financial services information provider Morningstar Inc. has acquired Footnoted.org, a Web research services that analyzes securities filings. Morningstar has bought a number of complementing services since it was launched in 2005, including the 10-K Wizard in 2008 and Logical Information Machines in 2009. Footnoted, which was founded by Michelle Leder in 2003, will change its Web address to footnoted.com following the acquisition.
