The article discusses the challenges of legal publishing in the Caribbean region. An overview of book publishing, from the partnership between British educational publishers and local businesses like Jamaica's Collins/Sangster to the establishment of the Caribbean Law Publishing Co. (CLP), is presented. It explains that the prevalence of published law materials from Great Britain and the necessity to keep up with technological innovations are major challenges in the publishing industry.
