ABSTRACT
The author presents an update on the American Rose Society (ARS). He acknowledges the role of the Desert Rose Society in the success of the ARS Fall Convention in November 2009 as host of the event. He announces the recipients of several ARS awards such as the Gold Medal to Jack Walter of Grand Saline, Texas. He outlines some of the people who have done a great job as Committee chairs for the last three years, including Gary Rankin and Monica Valentovic. He emphasizes the role of the Trial Membership programs in getting additional members.
